The problem that came along with travelling with Damian for extended periods of time was that Kain had a tendency to drop his defenses - but only towards him. Damian always stood in his blind spot when it was just the two of them, so getting one-up on him? Easy.

Kain stumbled through the light with fluency but it came with his heart forgetting to beat and his lungs threatening to pop his eyes out from the pressure of fear.
